At Beavers you’re guaranteed to have plenty of adventures, because being a Beaver is all about making the most of what you have, wherever and whoever you are. We know that this is can be different things for different people, this could be trying a new food, going on a walk, gaining your first badge or attending your first sleepover or camp. 

At Beavers, you get to take risks in a safe environment and have your first taste of responsibility and adventure with experiences you’ll never forget. We believe in helping you to discover your full potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for yourself – all in a fun, safe way.

Beavers - 6 to 8 years

Due to continued overwhelming demand to join our Beaver and Cub sections, which far exceeds the available spaces we can offer, we now operate a Waiting List/Admissions policy for all new interested enquiries.  The average wait for a place in our Beaver sections is currently 10-12 months. 1st Ash Vale Scout Group has two Beaver colonies that meet on Mondays and Tuesdays at our Scout Hut in Ash Vale. Both colonies are very popular, so make sure you register your interest early!

Beaver Scouts are the youngest section of the Scouting family, catering for boys & girls aged between 6 and 8 years. Activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, learning how to be safe, trying new things and most importantly, making friends and having fun.
